Freeport Friends began as a Facebook page in 2014—a place to connect friends, families and everyone who shares my love for Grand Bahama. Since then, it has grown into a community of almost 12,000 followers.

As a former teacher at St. Paul’s School, Freeport has always held a very special place in my heart. I wanted to create a permanent home where the island’s historic photographs, stories and memories could be gathered together and enjoyed by everyone.

This website is dedicated to celebrating Freeport and Grand Bahama, preserving our island’s heritage and ensuring that its stories are not forgotten.

Your memories are part of Freeport’s story too. If you have a photograph, a story or simply a memory you’d like to share, we’d love to hear from you. Visit our Your Freeport Memories page and help us keep those memories alive.
